Bernie Banton
A True Hero
We have lost a true Australian hero today with the passing of Bernie Banton.
Bernie courageously pursued justice for sufferers of asbestos related diseases and their families and we all owe him a debt of gratitude.
He was a man of integrity who came to symbolise his cause.
I offer my condolences to his wife Karen, his family and his friends everywhere.
He was loved, respected and will be greatly missed.
