QANTAS FAMILIES DESERVE MORE FOR THEIR HARD WORK

Qantas staff and families deserve full credit for the record $1 032 Billion yearly profits announced this morning.

“While Qantas Management were too busy chasing private equity deals and $300 million bonuses, 38 000 Qantas staff were busy getting on with the job of flying the national carrier”, said Senior Airlines Official Scott Connolly.

“Today’s result reflects their hard work and they deserve a lot more than a paltry $1000 and 200 shares.

“The Qantas staff community deserve safe working conditions and secure jobs so all Qantas customers experience a first class service.

“As the Qantas Corporation restructures itself, the long term vision for the airline must be a competitive, safe and secure operation for all Qantas staff and customers.

“That’s what’s behind this record result and that spirit of Australia must continue into the future.

“The board must ensure these minimum benchmarks are met, no matter the Qantas structure."
