    Legacy of Civil Aviation Workers Best Honoured By A Secure Future For Australian Aviation- AUF

That’s according to the Australian Aviation Unions’ Federation (AUF), who joined civil aviation veterans and workers in Darwin today (08.08.12) as the AUF dedicated a monument to the selfless heroism of Australian civil aviation workers.

    More Work Needed on Union Rights in Vietnam - Sheldon Calls for release of Three Vietnamese Imprisoned For Trade Union Activity

    The Vietnamese Government should honour its human rights and labour rights obligations beginning with the release of three Trade Union activists. That's according to Tony Sheldon, National Secretary of the Transport Workers' Union of Australia (TWU). He issued a statement to coincide with the visit of The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, (VGCL), which is currently in Australia as guests of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, (ACTU).

    Corporate Watchdog Should Investigate Qantas Senior Management For Flouting Corporation Law – TWU

    The Transport Workers’ Union has today (31.07.12) called on the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) to investigate Qantas-Jetstar and its senior management for possible breaches of laws governing corporations. The call came as the Union raised concerns that Qantas may have knowingly leaked market sensitive information.

    Transport Workers Union Industrial Action at AAT Kings Yulara (Ayres Rock) and Alice Springs

    Members of the Transport Workers Union South Australia Northern Territory Branch working for AAT Kings in Yulara and Alice Springs have voted  to take a 24 hour stoppage from 12.01am on Thursday the 2nd of August until 12.01am Friday the 3rd of August. Picket lines will be set up at the company's Yulara bus depot.
