    The TWU’s test case against food delivery giant Foodora over the unfair sacking of a delivery rider will resume next week on September 13-14. This follows the announcement today by the Fair Work Ombudsman that it will not proceed with its case against Foodora.

    DELIVERY RIDERS PROTEST AHEAD OF FOODORA CREDITORS MEETING

    Delivery riders protested in Sydney today to demand rights and protections, minimum rates, superannuation, sick leave, annual leave and the right to challenge unfair sackings. Protesters gathered outside the Prime Minister’s Offices on Bligh street and marched to the NSW Parliament. They called on the Federal Government to ensure companies like Deliveroo and UberEats stop exploiting their workers.

    TWU CRITICISES QANTAS BONUS FOR WORKERS

    The TWU has criticised a Qantas bonus which many workers won’t receive at all while others won’t receive for years. The union highlighted record profits in the aviation industry while workers struggle with part time hours and low rates.
