    Transport Workers' Union moved a resolution at the NSW Labor Annual Conference to ask the Federal Government to extend the Qantas Sale Act to include Jetstar. The resolution also calls for all aviation workers - including overseas based flight attendants - to receive Australian standards of wages and conditions.

    Another Truck Rollover Due To Fatigue

    TWU Assistant National Secretary, Michael Kaine, spoke to ABC Goulburn Murray recently as another truck rolled over in the region, as a result of driver  fatigue. Michael explained that fatigue is a symptom of the pressures in the industry as a result of  major transport clients like Coles, squeezing 'every last dollar' from truckies and trucking companies, and these pressures lead to increased accidents.
