Release date: 1/08/2012

Bus drivers for a wellknown tour group will walk off the job tonight.

Northern Territory News, Darwin

Drivers for AAT Kings will walk off the job at 12.01am for a 24-hour strike over pay disputes.

Transport Workers Union NT branch secretary Ray Wyatt said: "The main points of disagreement are a 12 per cent increase over three years and penalty payments for public holidays to be re-introduced." Mr Wyatt said the penalty payments were removed in the last agreement.

He said drivers in Alice Springs were also campaigning to receive the same remote bonus payment Yulara drivers already receive.
