Qantas Families Day, Saturday December 3rd 2011

Qantas Families Day, Saturday December 3rd 2011

A few weeks ago, fueled by a desire to outsource and offshore Australian jobs, CEO Alan Joyce and his Board shut down Qantas, stranding 70,000 passengers and holding Australia to ransom. This proves bosses in Australia have too much power.

Many people have a family member or knows someone who works for Qantas. These 35,000 Australian Qantas families deserve to keep their jobs, especially having delivered a $550 million profit this year alone.

This December 3 is Qantas Families Day. On that day people around the country will come together in their communities in support of Qantas families and a strong future for Qantas in Australia.

Thousands of Qantas Families and their friends will be delivering flyers in letterboxes in their neighbourhoods to share the message of keeping quality jobs in Australia. Qantas CEO Alan Joyce has decided he will strand 70,000 passengers and hold the Australian economy to ransom after awarding himself a 5 million dollar pay rise. This is out of touch with Australian values. Support Qantas Families in your neighbourhood.

You can help to save Aussie jobs and send a clear message to Qantas management. All you need to do is give 1 hour on Saturday December 3 to put pamphlets in letterboxes in your neighborhood -
register here and we will arrange for you to be sent copis of the Qantas Families pamphlet.
