• Coles Online Delivery Drivers who start work before 5.30am on a weekday are paid almost $5 less per hour than they should be.
• Coles Online Delivery Drivers do not enjoy the same safe, driver-appropriate conditions that they should.
• Coles Online Delivery Drivers do not have choice to become permanent after 12 months, if they choose.
The issue has now moved into the courts, with the Transport Workers' Union continuing the battle in the Federal Magistrates Court and at Fair Work Australia on behalf of our members at Coles Online.
The company have made their case in court, arguing that delivery drivers should be treated the same as retail workers.
The TWU says that this is unacceptable.
We are continuing to work on behalf of Coles Online delivery drivers to ensure they get the wages and conditions they deserve and they can undertake their work in a safe manner.
