Coles' revenue last year was over $37 billion and its top executive have million-dollar pay packets.

Yet when it comes to paying the drivers delivering their groceries to customers, Coles is paying well below other retailers.

As drivers at Coles Online, we have made some important progress. In negotiations with Coles, driver won increased payments for part-time workers.

But this is just the beginning. We need to set an industry standard for online drivers across all the retailers so that no one is short-changed on rates or hours.

The way to do this is by joining with other online drivers as a part of the Transport Workers' Union to demand that profitable retailers pay their fair share.

    We need to extend our membership and keep pushing harder to obtain what is fair and just..We are in the TRANSPORT INDUSTRY plain and simple.

    I have been a driver at Online for 2 years now.I love the job and chatting with the customers and I work with a great close knit team.I just want the safety standards and pay and conditions that the Transport award delivers.I am over not being payed as a DRIVER and being paid under the 'RETAIL AWARD'.We have had many of our drivers join the TWU as they feel the same way.Now that WOOLIES Online has changed to company drivers and are going to be paid TRANSPORT WAGES,our campaign is really heating up.

    As always Coles is as weak as water when it comes to looking after their bloody hard working employees. Profits are put first and the safety of their workers and everyone else is a long way back in last place. Shame on you Coles Supermarkets, Shame!!!!!
