Representatives of the Australian Aviation Federation (AUF) and veteran aviation workers celebrated our proud civil aviation heritage in front of old Qantas hanger in Darwin this morning (08.08.12), by dedicating a monument to honour the legacy of civil aviation workers who have toiled for Australia's interest in time of war and natural disasters, through terror and hope.

The courage, dedication and sacrifice of civil aviation workers has been integral to Australia during times of strife and we must honour this legacy by ensuring a safe and secure Australian aviation industry for future generations. That’s according to the Australian Aviation Unions’ Federation (AUF), who joined civil aviation veterans and workers in Darwin today (08.08.12) as the AUF dedicated a monument to the selfless heroism of Australian civil aviation workers.
